Hot off the proverbial press from DMM...
Weighing in at 41g the Phantom Screwgate (little more than your average wiregate) is the worlds lightest screwgate. Furthermore, as you would expect from DMM it features i-beam extrusion, a clean key-lock nose, and some impressive strength ratings.
Although it isn't the biggest out there it passed the crucial test: does it fit on two clove hitches with an 8.5mm rope. This elevated it from a glorified 'rigging' biner to a multi-purpose screwgate - carrying a few of these up Main Cliff Gogarth rather than one chunky traditional screwgate will give you far more options (besides, you can always carry one more and you'll still be lighter than ever before!!).
It isn't likely to be everyones cup of tea due to the small size, but for such a light piece of kit you'd be crazy to ignore it!!
