The Genesis is a perfect 'all-round' dry treated double ropes.

The 8.5mm diameter provides a superb balance between weight and durability - these ropes just seem to keep going and going (a testament to Mammut's impeccable build quality).

Coating Finish- When a conventional rope is dynamically loa- ded (as in a lead fall), the individual strands absorb the load by stretching. Due to friction between the strands, the load is not equally distributed within the core, and the theoreti- cal peak performance is not achieved. The Teflon coating of our exclusive Coating Finish technology reduces friction between the rope strands, allowing the load to be equally dis- tributed and enabling the manufacture of lighter and stronger ropes.
