Rock climbing shoes come in all shapes and sizes, for every conceivable style and difficulty of climbing. From slabby granite to horizontal sandstone roofs, there is a perfect boot for it.
There are a number of competing sticky rubber compounds from different manufacturers, Five Ten are well known for their Stealth rubber, many people swear by it, but other brands using Vibram or Ecotrax have equally dedicated followers.
The fit is of course the most important thing with rock climbing shoes, each brand and indeed each model has a different fit, even in the same shoe size.
